When I first opened this and tried it I thought I shoved a bunch of rose petals up there. The flavor lingered and I was not a fan. Then I tried it again a few hours later and it was just a wonderful cherry vanilla. Very little tobacco flavor but if you're looking for a desert snuff, this is it.
Medium - Fine grind. Slight burn. The cherry smells natural with a baked bread note. I wouldn't go over the top of listing a dozen other notes. If there is warm humidity in the air, you will pick up a lingering cherry cream scent- the vanilla, maybe like the aroma of stewing cherries with heavy cream on the stove while baking bread in the oven. I don't think this has a any serious leather or woody note to it. It's more 'bready' than earthy, musky or woody. The cherry does not come off as overtly sweet or sharp. it's balanced. Nicotine wise - it's on the milder side. It's a good snuff to switch things up, recommend to others, but I'd like more nicotine.
Very nice medium grind. Dry snuff with a nice nose tingle and good nicotine kick. But the smell, o my God the smell IS AMAZING. it is a very nice sweet mellow aroma, woodsy, clean creamy, fresh, out doors smell. Its hard to explain but exactly what i was looking for in a pinch. Every day all day use. Get it while you can, sold out right now. This is THE snuff right here, very nice. Dont forget to let the can air out after opening. You got to try this one !
This is another of Samuel Gawith's more unique offerings, an old-fashioned ambrosia-type snuff brimming with sweetness and heavy fruit notes. The medium-fine grind and moderate moisture content make the snuff incredibly easy to take, allowing it to deliver a wallop of black cherry, blackberry, blackcurrant, almond, brandy, and vanilla notes springing from the tobacco base. Subtler impressions of smoke, earth, toffee, chocolate, biscuit, leather, and wood round out the mix. Nicotine content is respectable enough but is far from overpowering. My only real gripes with this snuff are that the sweetness can often be overpowering and that the combination of additives sometimes caused an odd stinging sensation in my nose and throat. This would definitely not be a snuff I could take on a regular basis; however, it would be an enjoyable indulgence every now and then. I could see fans of sweet, fruity snuffs losing their minds over this one.
Relatively new to nasal snuff. That being said I thoroughly enjoy this blend. A nice grind and a decent wallop up front... then great notes of cherry and vanilla!
